We have had another wonderful week in B2. The highlight of our week was the Powhiri which celebrated the arrival of lots of new people to our school. We enjoyed welcoming them and sharing kai with them afterwards. Thank you B1, O1 and O3 for arranging the morning tea food.
Next time we have shared food in our team it will be B2s turn to bring some in.

Remember togs and a towel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. We are enjoying using the pool and are amazing at getting ourselves changed and dry afterwards.
Our first library day is on Monday afternoon and we are looking forward to going to the lovely new library again.
Next week we will be learning a new song “You’re Welcome”. It is taken from the film “Moana’ so many of you will already know it. Every class in the school is learning it and it will sound amazing when we all sing it together in the hall later this term.
Next week we will continue to think about what it feels like to be part of a community. We will look at the things in the classroom and school around us that we know and are familiar to us. We will be using the terms ‘belong’ and ‘belonging’ an awful lot!
Our writing and inquiry will be about our community and we will continue looking at numbers and number formation in maths.
Home books this week contain reading words at the level of which your child is reading. Just have a little look at these with your child and see if they can find them in their reading books.
Many thanks for your continued support
