Note new times!!

This term we need to remember a hat to protect ourselves at playtimes. If we don’t have a hat we have to stay in the shade.

Maths – We will be continuing to look at the measurement of time this week.

Reading – Keep up the reading at home! All extra exposure to books will enhance your child’s reading J

Word work – We will be reviewing all the sounds we have looked at over the year and using them in our writing.

Inquiry – Our inquiry will now concentrate on our forth-coming Christmas Show. We need to practise and make some sustainable percussion using water bottles. Thank you to everyone who has already brought in a poncho – they look fabulous!

Writing – We will be writing, writing and writing! There are still many things we can all do to make our writing even better. We will be continuing to use strategies learnt over the past year.

Te Reo Maori – We will be learning how to say some simple body parts in Maori to link with our Inquiry.

School Values – ORCA – The symbol of the orca is very important to Whangaparaoa School and is carried with us everywhere, every day on our uniform.

Each letter of the ORCA stands for a different value:
O – Ownership
R – Respect
C – Collaborate
A – Achieve
We continue looking at these values and how we can take them on board in our classroom.

Library day is Tuesday

Sharing news is on Monday and Friday

Remember your hats!

Many thanks for your continued support.

Libby, Simone and the children of B2
